Details, Explanations and Information

  • Dressage classes (1 through 9) may be combined if less than 5 entries per class.

  • All dressage may be split if more than 10 entries. Splits will be done by Jr/Sr, by test or randomly as determined by show management.

  • Western Dressage Percentage (Class 10): This class will follow WDAA rules. Please note: SVF shows REQUIRE all riders wear helmets when mounted. Helmets will be required for all Western Dressage riders as well. Failure to wear a helmet when requested may result in being asked to leave the show grounds and no refund of fees paid will be given.

  • Halloween Costumes: Halloween costumes are optional and encouraged for this show. Safe costumes may be worn during tests ridden for the show. Everyone should be aware of the costumes and their potential effect on other horses at the show. Especially during warm up, please be considerate of your fellow competitors to ensure everyone has a great day and the opportunity to put in their best possible test on the day.
Costume Judging Contest: Costumes must include horse and rider or handler. Can be mounted or unmounted. Mounted costumes MUST include a helmet for the rider - no exceptions. Entry for the class is free. Competitors ONLY entering the costume contest are still required to pay an office fee. Costume contest may be entered the day of the show. Judging will be scheduled during the lunch break. Entries MAY be split if management deems it necessary due to the number of entries.
